Believe it or not, the familiar story of the Tower of Babel teaches us more than we ever thought about the nature of sin, God’s grace, and the reality of descending one-way love. It’s the entire message of the Bible in a nutshell.

The Tower of Babal narrative is connected to the fall of man in that men fell up as you mentioned in a previous blog. The fact that man wanted to go up in to a place where God had not intended them to go at the time.
The previous blog mentioned above was on Dec 13 2011. Gerharde Forde wrote about the fall of man in "Theology is for Proclamation" and spoke of sin. "It is an upward rebellion, an invasion of the realm of things "above" the usurping of divine prerogative."
We enjoyed having Dan Siedell in Charlottesville a few weeks ago for New City Arts and the Mockingbird Conference at our church. He introduced me to your blog while he was here. Now I know it was so that I would hear this sermon on this day. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
